A disadvantage of step meters of the type mentioned above is that they are relatively expensive and can also be difficult to handle. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention is to provide a simple and expedient device for determining the shape of the step surface of a step. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to the present invention, said object is achieved by means of a device having the features defined in claim 1. The device according to the invention comprises: - a base plate which is intended to be applied to the step surface of a step to be clad, and - a plurality of elongate and flat measuring arms which are intended to be fixed to the base plate for marking corner points of said step surface, each measuring arm having a pointed end. The base plate has a top side which is coated with a sticky adhesive and thereby is self-adhesive so that the measuring arms are fixable to the base plate by removable adhesion to the adhesive on the top side of the base plate. This makes it possible to quickly and easily fix each individual measuring arm in the desired position relative to the base plate with good positional stability without the need to tighten any fixing means. By using an adhesive with a suitable adhesive ability, it also becomes possible to quickly and easily release the measuring arms from the base plate when the device is to be used to determine the shape of a new step surface. The device according to the invention is easy to handle even for an inexperienced user. The device according to the invention also has an extremely simple construction and can be manufactured in a simple manner and at a cost which is so low that a home craftsman could consider it reasonable to procure the device in question for a one-time work. Other advantageous features of the device according to the invention appear from the dependent claims and the description below. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will be described in more detail below with the aid of exemplary embodiments, with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is shown in: Fig. 1 a perspective view of a part of a staircase with a device according to an embodiment of the present invention placed on the step surface of a step in the stairs, and Fig. 2 a plan view of the device according to Fig. 1 placed on a cladding element. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION Figures 1 and 2 show a device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention for determining the shape of the step surface 2 of a step 3 in connection with cladding a staircase. The device 1 comprises a base plate 4 which is intended to be laid on the step surface 2 of a step 3 to be clad and a number of elongate and flat measuring arms 5 which are intended to be fixed to the base plate 4 for marking corner points of said step surface 2. Each measuring arm 5 has an end with a tip 6 which is intended to be applied at a corner point of the step surface 2. The number of measuring arms 5 which need to be used in each individual case depends on the number of corner points of the step surface 2 whose form to be determined. Thus, when determining the shape of a rectangular step surface with four corner points, four measuring arms 5 are used. In the illustrated example, the device 1 is used to determine the shape of a step surface 2 with six corner points, whereby consequently six measuring arms 5 are used. The base plate 4 has a top side 7 which is coated with a sticky adhesive and thereby is self-adhesive so that the measuring arms 5 are fixable to the base plate 4 by removable adhesion to the adhesive on the top side of the base plate 7. The adhesive suitably covers the entire or at least substantially all 7. The adhesive on the upper side 7 of the base plate is advantageously an adhesive which contains acrylic resin and water as main constituents, but it is of course also possible to use an adhesive of another type suitable for the purpose. The essential thing is that the adhesive has such an adhesive ability that the meter arms 5 can stick to the base plate 4 and be held in position relative to the base plate in a stable manner when the base plate is lifted from a step 3 and moved to a cladding element 8. at the same time as the measuring arms 5 can be released from the base plate 4 with relatively low hand force. Before the device 1 is put into use and between different uses, the top 7 of the base plate is suitably covered by a removable protective paper to protect the adhesive and to avoid objects or particles being inadvertently adhered to the base plate 4. The base plate 4 is suitably of a sandwich board with a core of foam plastic and may, for example, have a thickness of 3-5 mm. The base plate 4 is advantageously rectangular and preferably has a width of 10-15 cm and a length of 50-80 cm. The latch arms 5 are suitably made of sheet metal, for example by punching, and may, for example, have a thickness of 0.5-1 mm. Said plate is suitably hot-dip galvanized plate. The measuring arms 5 could alternatively be made of plastic or other suitable material. Each measuring arm 5 preferably has a width of 1.5-2.5 cm and a length of 45-60 cm. In the illustrated embodiment, the respective measuring arm 5 is obliquely cut at one end to form the above-mentioned tip 6. When using the device 1, the base plate 4 is applied to the step surface 2 of the step 3 to be clad, after which the measuring arms 5 are placed one by one with their tip 6 at a corner point of the step surface 2 and pressed against the top plate 7 so that the measuring arms 5 is attached to the adhesive on the top of the base plate and thereby fixed to the base plate 4, as illustrated in Fig. 1. When all corner points of the step surface 2 are marked with the tip 6 of a measuring arm 5 fixed to the base plate 4, the base plate 4 is lifted away. from the step 3 and is placed on a cladding element 8, as illustrated in Fig. 2. The corner points of the current step surface 2 are then marked on the cladding element 8 starting from the pointed end points 6 of the measuring arms. with these lines to form a cladding piece with a shape adapted to the shape of the current step surface 2. The shape of the final cladding piece is illustrated by dashed lines in Fig. 2. When the corner points of the current step surface 2 have been marked on the cladding element 8, the measuring arms 5 can be detached from the base plate 4 so that the base plate and the measuring arms can be used to determine the shape of the step surface of the next step to be clad. The invention is of course not in any way limited to the embodiments described above, but a number of possibilities for modifications thereof should be obvious to a person skilled in the art, without this for that reason deviating from the basic idea of the invention as defined in the appended claims. .

Claims (1) [1] A device for determining the shape of the step surface of a step in connection with the cladding of a staircase, the device (1) comprising: - a base plate (4) which is intended to be applied on the step surface (2) of a step (3) to be clad, and - a plurality of elongate and flat measuring arms (5) intended to be fixed to the base plate (4) for marking corner points of said step surface (2) , each measuring arm (5) having a pointed end, characterized in that the base plate (4) has a top side (7) which is coated with a sticky adhesive and thereby is self-adhesive so that the measuring arms (5) are fixable to the base plate (4) by removable adhesion to the adhesive on the top of the base plate (7). Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said adhesive covers the entire or at least substantially the entire surface of the upper side (7) of the base plate. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said adhesive contains acrylic resin. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the base plate (4) consists of a sandwich disc with a core of foam plastic.
